Please also review and download our Artist Manual to have as a reference on any Dreamcatcher job. We will also mail this to you so you have a hard copy to keep In your kit! You can also save this document on your phone/device for reference.
Please read through the details below and watch all the videos! Once you have completed this page please use the link above to schedule a call with Leah. This call must take place before we can assign your first event!
Weddings
Inquiry
We will reach out for availability on specifics dates via text. Once confirmed be sure to mark that date and let us know if you get any other inquiries. Often inquiries can take weeks, even months to lock in. If you get another inquiry let us know so we can reach back out to our client and give them the chance to move forward. We will give our client 24 hours to book before we release you.
Booking
Once booked we will send a calendar invite for the wedding day and follow up with a text. Please confirm the text and accept the calendar invite. The calendar invite is a bonus and not to be 100% relied on. Its up to you to keep track of the bookings that we confirm with you via text. If you ever need additional information on a wedding, feel free to reach out and we will share with you anything we already have.
Week of the Wedding
On the week of the wedding we will email you an info sheet with all the wedding day details. This will be the same sheet that the bride gets to ensure we are all on the same ‘page’. Please review this sheet to ensure it matches with your expectations for the day and that your contact details are correct. Be sure to respond via email ASAP that you’ve received this so we can mark you off as received and set. Please note: the Info sheet is different then the calendar Invites.
Wedding Day
Show up and rock it! If parking notes were provided they will be on your info sheet. If Valet is available, our clients are required to cover that. Be sure to check in with the bride and/or lead artist about any specific looks for the bridal party. Full payment will have already been collected prior to the event day, but if there are any add-ons be sure to collect for those before you leave. You can always view our most updated rates on our website HERE. We’ve included a link below as well. And if the party is under 10 services, they will also hopefully pass gratuity directly to you as well. Please also be sure to check with with the other team members to ensure they are set, especially on departure. Remember, we are a team and helping each other out is appreciated and always comes around ;)
Within 24 hours of Wedding Completion
Please shoot us a text with how it went and any photos you took. If anything notable happened please let us know so we hear it from you first, rather than the bride or coordinator!
Payment
We will ensure that payment is sent by the Friday immediately following the week in which the job is completed. Payment will be via Paypal, Zelle, or Venmo - we will discuss what is ideal for you.
Payment Breakdown
We will share a link with you during your first payment that will list out your payment breakdowns with us. If you ever have any questions, please ask!.
Previews
Inquiry/Coordination
We will discuss date options with you via text for a preview that best suits you and your clients needs. If we ask for general availability, please give us a handful of dates to help avoid having to go back and forth. It’s up to you if you’d like to offer weekends as options, but we understand if you need to stick with Mon-Thurs for previews. Being flexible with mornings or evenings will also be helpful. Please mark whatever dates you mentioned to us should it take a few days or weeks to hear back and lock something in.
Once booked we will send a calendar invite for the preview and follow up with a text. Please confirm the text and accept the calendar invite.
Inspiration photos & style notes
The week of the preview (or wedding, If no preview Is booked) we will confirm with the bride, request her inspiration photos and send a her/them a style questionnaire. Once we receive that back we will forward those to you so you are as prepared as possible. Please also respond to that email so we can mark you off. If you have not received the style questionnaire and Inspiration photos a day or two prior to your booking, let us know so we can navigate.
Week of the Preview
On the week of the preview we will send out an email to you to confirm your booking. Like the Wedding Info Sheet, be sure to respond ASAP that you’ve received this so we can mark you off as received and set.
Preview day
Give ‘em the works! Previews are not the time to rush, so be sure you’ve scheduled accordingly. We tell our brides hair and makeup previews take anywhere from 2-3 hours in length. Take time to show them any adjustments they are seeking and to really ‘wow’ them with your skills and ability to listen, adjust and accommodate.
Within 24 hours of Preview Completion
Like the wedding day, please shoot us a text or email with how it went along with photos. If anything notable happened please let us know so we hear it from you first, rather than the bride or coordinator!
Payment
Like above, we will ensure that payment is sent by the Friday immediately following the week in which the job is completed. Payment again will be via Paypal, Zelle, or Venmo - we will discuss what is ideal for you.
Additional Notes
We will always ask our clients to come with clean dry hair. However we do also offer the option for a ‘blow out’ only (no pinning.) If they want a blow out AND a pinned style you need to communicate with them that it is an additional $50 for the added blow out and that it may push the schedule, as it often takes more time. With this said, if you feel like you can accomplish the full blowout and style within the designated time, use your discretion on charging additional. The up-charge is for the added time it takes, but if added time is not needed then you may not want to hassle with an additional payment. If you do charge, be sure to collect the payment before you leave.
As a reminder, If services are added on an event beyond what you have booked (and you are able to work them in) please be sure to collect the full amount from the client before leaving. Our current rates are linked below for reference.
For set up, we ask our clients for counter space near an outlet and natural light. We understand this is not always possible, so be sure to bring with you whatever you need should space and options be limited.
We try and keep texts between the hours of 8am to 8pm, unless there is a pressing/emergency issue.
All corporate, film and print jobs can also follow the same steps and expectations as weddings, outside of receiving inspiration prior and an info sheet. You will still receive a confirmation email the week of the booking and a possible call sheet, if provided.
After reading over all the info above, don’t forget to book a call with Leah so we can start scheduling you on events!
And lastly, if you would like some insight on Leah’s sanitation practices, whats in her kit as well as what she provides for touchup kits you can view those videos below!
